It is time to take the next step in using technology in the classroom. Now that there is 1) something to teach, and 2) a tool to teach with, the issue is now to integrate the tool with the subject. It's a delicate dance that takes a deep understanding of the subject and the teaching implement. Ideally, knowing which Moodle features to use to teach which elements of critique/synthesis/analysis would be an easy task, but the challenge is to dissect the subject and remove the parts without prior knowledge of their functions. Doing this for the first time is a learning experience for the instructor. Once the tools and subject can be intertwined, the instructor can understand the learning implement well enough to guide students. If this can be done successfully, Moodle can become one of the foundational elements of course design.
